KATC-TV | Executive News Producer

March 2012-January 2021

  • Oversaw all aspects of the newscast production for the top-rated newscasts in the Lafayette, Louisiana, market. Responsibilities included training producers, assisting producers in writing and stacking their newscasts, coordinating coverage of special events and breaking news, and assisting the news director in scheduling and in monitoring the station's website and social media platforms, and line producing the 10 p.m. newscast.

  • Line produced Good Morning Acadiana from 2014 to 2016.

  • Worked as an assignments editor from 2012 to 2014.

October 2011-April 2016

  • Play-by-play voice for the Southern Professional Hockey League franchise.

  • Produced, hosted, and edited team's weekly coach's radio show and delivered it to the station for air.

  • Wrote team's postgame recap articles for web and for newspaper publication.

  • Occasionally filled in as the team's public address announcer and game operations manager.

  • Produced the morning, noon, and weekend newscasts and edited video for those broadcasts.

  • As a general assignments reporter, covered stories in the station's nine parish viewing area.

September 2006-May 2010

  • Play-by-play voice for Princeton Tigers football, basketball, baseball, softball, and, ice hockey.

  • Co-hosted twice-weekly sports talk show Timeout.

  • Produced and hosted music shows Random Acts of Music (2006-2010) and Steppin' Out (2019).

  • Served as the station's sports director (2007-10), news director (2007-08), program director (2007, 2008-09), chief engineer (2007, 2009-10), and station manager (2007).

  • As news director, resurrected a department that had been dormant for more than a decade and recruited reporters who helped made the news department a viable entity within the station.

  • As interim station manager, worked with the team that orchestrated WPRB's inaugural membership drive.
